This year was to be a year of many celebrations, the 50th anniversary of SWSM and the 150th birthday of Maria Montessori. But as the universe works, it has turned out to be a landmark year of change.
Missing the children in the classrooms has been difficult, the children we love so much! Once again it rings true . . . a feeling or emotion becomes much stronger when it is missed. Since March we have faced enormous challenges — challenges that have asked a lot of our children, teachers and parents. On the bright side, we had hoped the most beautiful initiatives to come to light and that the children would return to SWSM. However, these challenges have caused a very different outcome, our closure. It is even more difficult because of our love of all the children educated here through the years and our love of Montessori. But the time has come to say goodbye and thank you to our SWSM families, staff and beloved school.
“Of all things, LOVE is the most potent.”
You will be missed!
