Join us for a Parent Enrichment Evening on Thursday, March 19th, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. What Makes Your Child Tick? will be presented by Susan Nevin, M.Ed., Pediatric Therapist and Child Development Specialist. This is an informative, adult-only event.
Come to the information meeting for parents of next year’s Extended Day/Kindergarten children. This meeting is designed to give you an overview of the curriculum, meet the teachers and help give you the information you need to make a decision regarding your child’s kindergarten year. It will be held on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the Extended Day room.
It will be a special day on Tuesday, December 17th. Santa will greet the students with a boisterous ho, ho, ho; and all the good children will be treated to candy canes!
In the spirit of the holiday season, SWSM is requesting food donations on behalf of Hazel Crest Community Church Food Pantry. The collected food will allow 50 families in need to prepare a Christmas dinner of their own. We are graciously asking every child to contribute.
- Preschool/Kindergarten – one large package of boxed stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes AND canned sweet potatoes
- Toddler – two large cans of vegetables AND cranberries
Please bring all food items to school by Friday, December 13th.
Join SWSM in the Palos Park Parade on Saturday, September 21st. Wear RED and bring the whole family to the Plush Horse at 10:30 a.m. to line up and then join the fun as we march in the annual parade at 11:00 a.m.
The children enjoy handing out candy almost as much as being in the parade. If you would like to toss candy while walking the parade route, please bring a bag for your family.
Afterwards, spend the afternoon at the Autumn in the Park Festival which will be featuring live music, great food, chili and BBQ cook-off and so much more. This event has something for everyone! For more information, go to Autumn-In-The-Park-Festival.
