It will be a special day on Tuesday, December 18th. Santa will greet the students with a boisterous ho, ho, ho; and all the good children will be treated to candy canes!
In the spirit of the holiday season, SWSM is requesting food donations on behalf of Hazel Crest Community Church Food Pantry. The collected food will allow 50 families in need to prepare a Christmas dinner of their own. We are graciously asking every child to contribute.
Preschool/Kindergarten – one large package of boxed stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes AND canned sweet potatoes
Toddler – two large cans of vegetables AND cranberries
Please bring all food items to school by Tuesday, December 4th.
The annual Pumpkin Hunt is a fun tradition here at SWSM! It is our way of celebrating the fall season and Halloween Holiday. In lieu of children wearing costumes to school during the week, we ask you to bring them in their Halloween outfits on Sunday, October 28th, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (no rain date). Children, siblings, parents, grandparents are invited to dress for the event! We gather on the playground, the perfect spot to truly enjoy the children’s enthusiasm for the holiday. Please bring your favorite savory finger food or sweet and healthy treat to share. There will be a pumpkin for all of the boys and girls to find and decorate.
Please join SWSM for a Back to School Potluck Dinner on Thursday, September 13th, at 6:00 p.m.
- Bring your favorite dish to share.
- Mingle with other parents and staff.
- Greet old friends and meet new ones!
This is an adult only event.
A new parent meeting is scheduled on Wednesday evening, August 29th, at seven o’clock. This meeting will introduce you to the Montessori philosophy and the basic view of children, families and learning that we have here at SWSM. We hope you will make arrangements to attend this adult evening so Kathy Williams can answer your questions and concerns. This meeting should last only about one hour.
